Feature Highlight: Field Inspections App
Inspectors can take GovKodo with them and run their full daily workflow for each property in their inspection queue from a phone or tablet — search, record results, take photos, and more — and keep working when signal drops.
GovKodo includes a dedicated field inspections app that runs on any phone or tablet browser. Inspectors install it to their home screen and use it as their primary tool on-site.
Daily queue
When an inspector opens the app, they see every open inspection assigned to them – requested, scheduled, needed, or failed – in one list. No filtering through a desktop system to figure out what's on the schedule.
Full mobile inspection platform
Each inspection supports pass, fail, waive, or cancel with inspector notes, deficiency details, USBC code section citations, and a configurable checklist where each item gets its own pass/fail/not-applicable status and notes. GPS coordinates are captured automatically when the inspector records a result.
Photos from the field
Inspectors take photos directly from the inspection record using the device camera, or they can upload their own from their phone's gallery. Photos can be tagged as general documentation or tied to a specific deficiency, and can include date and location metadata.
Permit or parcel search
Inspectors can look up any permit by address, permit number, parcel number, or applicant name and see open inspections for that permit immediately.
Works offline
The app saves inspections and photos locally when connectivity drops. When signal returns, everything syncs automatically, ensuring inspectors do not lose valuable time in the field waiting for signal or re-entering lost data later.
